Ministerial Accreditation with the Evangelical Free Church of Canada (EFCC) is a meaningful way for our denomination, local churches, and EFCC-approved ministries to affirm the Christian character, testimony, calling, and spiritual maturity of those serving in ministry. It is a supportive process where the God-given gifts a believer is already exercising are recognized and celebrated.
The Evangelical Free Church of Canada (EFCC) embraces a unique calling as a denomination, captured in its motto: “in essentials unity; in non-essentials charity; in all things Jesus Christ.” To explore the distinctiveness of the EFCC further, visitors can refer to the denomination’s pages on Vision & Purpose, the Statement of Faith, and Character and Calling, which highlight how the EFCC seeks to fulfill its particular calling in the work of God’s kingdom.
At the EFCC National Conference in June 2024, important updates were made to the Accreditation Process. Below, you will find the EFCC Ministerial Accreditation Procedures – Final document, which provides current details on the new process, curriculum, ordination, and transfer of ordination within the EFCC family of churches. You will also find a FAQs document to help answer common questions. If you’d like to dive deeper into the process and details, we invite you to visit the EFCC Ministerial Accreditation webpage.
